Sea Shell Ice Cream in Wildwood

The portions here are HUGE which is a steal for the price. Usually gimmicky things like extra large scoops takes away from the quality, but the ice cream was fantastic. I had the strawberry mix Ed with the banana ice cream. It was too big to fit on a cone so they put it in a cup. Not only was the ice cream creamy and rich, it had very nice flavor

Some of the best Ice cream around Wildwood if not the best! Also they are really good with COVID precautions and ate able to handle large orders in a good amount of time.

Expensive compared to other options on the island, but always good. They did a nice job with their COVID-19 measures too (at least when we were there). Get the krunch kote (unless you're allergic to peanuts).

Been going here for years for summer vacations. Definitely my go to ice cream shop. You think a double would not be that big and it turns out to be a mountain of ice cream. Great place!

Huge portions amazing ice cream.. One of the best in wildwood, prices were good too. Oh and the service was outstanding, a must visit if you like ice cream. One of the flavors I tried was the bing cherry and lemme tell you, it had huge pieces of real cherries in it. I am very impressed and will be back

So many delicious flavors! Come 'hungry', as it's hard to pick just one scoop/flavor, and the scoops are very generous.

First place I stayed in 1993 was the hotel behind the Sea Shell. The ice cream was great.

Huge Serving, great service, affordable prices, perfect location. The sea shell is a Family favorite that we have been driving nearly an extra hour every year to visit and get the delicious ice cream. Would highly recommend!

At Seashell Ice Cream Parlor you CAN'T have it your way! A single scoop of ice cream with a topping is a staple menu item at all ice cream parlors, but not Seashell. As a Wildwood local, I've visited all the ice cream spots over the years. Bandana's, Duffer's, Dairy Delite, Cool Scoops, Dairy Queen... they all serve single or double scoops with one or more toppings. In order to get a single scoop of ice cream with one topping at Seashell, you must order a full sundae. We were rudely informed of this policy tonight when we visited. In addition, the parlor is disorganized, the staff barely understands English, and the owners are gruff. The man standing outside directing the jumbled and disorganized line yells at patrons. He's reminiscent of Seinfeld's "No Soup for You" episode. "No ice cream for you!!!!"

The ice cream is fantastic and the atmosphere of an old fashioned parlor is cool but the owner of the place last time in there was being extremely rude to his employees to which I actually had to say something to him how it affected my wife’s and children’s experience that evening! Unsure if will return next summer

Huge portions, you only need 1 scoop and that's hard to finish. Great prices. They don't allow strollers in the building due to how busy it gets. The line moves fast. Not handicap accessible.

This is the main attraction for me in Wildwood. The best old school ice cream parlor I've ever been. With 60 flavors of homemade hard ice cream, delicious concoctions on the menu (Dusty Road is my absolute favorite) and thick flavorful shakes (vanilla malt please) you'll be hard pressed to say you couldn't find something you love. IMHO 5 stars aren't enough!

If you're looking to eat way too much ice cream, look no further! Endless possibilities of sundaes and flavors, really fun place to grab some ice cream.

Always the best for us. Have to go every year. Single is the size of a softball. Tastes great, and good selection of flavors.

Once inside a young woman greeted us warmly. She was very multi task. It was very colorful inside. Ulta retro looking (in a nifty way). Norman Rockwell prints all over the wall. I bought a Dusty Road Sunday and it was maybe 7ish dollars and it was well worth it. Great customer service. Good amount good price.

Very nice and good place. Indoors are closed for COVID which is great. They are fast, friendly and are very clean. The portions are also very large. It's nice. There was also way more space to social distance in comparison to the other nearby ice cream places. They also have a wide variety of flavors. Real nice if you want quality hard ice cream with safety in mind.

If you plan to get two scoops come with an appetite. It was alot more than I expected, very good!

Thanks for not changing the quality of your ice cream. It brought back many memories when our kids were young and sea shell was a must stop during our vacation. Looking forward for a vacation with our kids & grandchildren next summer Lord willing.

The positives: When have you ever had bad ice cream? Never, that's when. And these guys don't skimp on the scoops, if you know what I mean. A good variety of flavors to choose from. About the right price for what you're getting.The negatives: The ice cream itself is just like all the other hard ice creams you've ever had. It's nothing special. Not bad; just not special.

We wanted 2 flavors but not as much as they served. Wish we could have had half scoops of two flavors. We would still have paid the cost.

Excellent! Another must stop location when visiting the Wildwoods. This ice cream shop offers deliciously fresh homemade ice cream in many enjoyable flavors. We enjoy mixing the strawberry and banana. Another favorite is the moose track ice cream, peanut butter yogurt and the cookie and cream. Very very good and would highly recommend!

Delicious ice cream and shakes..but have cash on you if you your debit or credit card because when my family and I went back there as we do each year...this year when we went they only accepted CASH....!!! Good thing I had cash on me!!

They wouldn't take credit cards, so we took our business down the street. During Covid, contactless pay is safer. No one wants to handle cash if they don't need to.

Easiest 5 🌟 rating! Best ice cream ever! I look forward to getting ice cream here ever time I come to Wildwood. I have visited here since I was a kid and I'm currently in my 40's! The portions are HUGE and the ice cream is so creamy and delicious. Before Covid 19 when we could dine in, I looked forward to seeing all the Norman Rockwell paintings that cover the bright, yellow walls. But since times are what they are and we cannot sit inside, I must give kudos to how well they have it set up to order & pick up the ice cream. They get the ice cream to their customers very quickly. Thank you for the delicious ice cream! I enjoy this tradition and the memories my family has made coming to get ice cream at the Sea Shell when we go down the shore.

Omg....huge HUGE portions and very good. Line moves quickly. Safe place to try. I dare ya to have the pb chocolate and coffee combo ice cream. Delicious end to a bust day. So much for walking 12000 steps!

Great ice cream and service. Cute place with seating! Only drawback....our server had her head IN THE FREEZER while she was scooping...with her hair loose. I know there have got to be some hairs in that ice cream. 😮

Great ice cream with decent social distancing practices. It's a small place so it can be tricky to maintain distance. But you're outside the entire time so keep your mask on until you have your ice cream and it's all good.

Amazing icecream and the double is huge

The ice cream was amazing. The serving size is so large. No need for a double scoop!! I couldn't finish my 2 scoop sundae. Everyone was wearing a mask. I am visiting the area on vacation and it is important to see them protecting themselves as well as out of state visitors! A MUST for the ice cream enthusiasts!

BEWARE of PARKING! Been coming to Sea Shell since I was a child. Up until a year or so ago there was parking in front of Sea Shell and across the street at the Sunshine Motel. So we parked as we have many times in the past. Well the owners of Sunshine blocked our car in and made us pay $10 for taking up a spot (10 mins Max) and say that we are costing them business. Now in fairness there are two small signs that say Sunshine guests only. I explained it was my fault not seeing sign but previously it was Sea Shell parking. And three members of the family of the owner came out arguing and saying we owed $10 (completely arbitrary number) and they took a space with their own car to purposely block us! And I even paid the $10 bc I felt I was in the wrong and they were still arguing! Sorry Sea Shell, but you may have lost a customer due to rude neighbors.
